How to Program a Sanyo Remote Controller

By Shelby Winchell

Sanyo has a universal remote control that can operate your TV, cable box and VCR. This one device replaces three remotes. It's large glow-in-the-dark buttons make it easy to operate in a dark room. Once it's programmed, all you have to do is press the proper function key ('VCR," "TV" or "Cable") to operate each device.

Things You'll Need

  • Programming code

Step 1

Turn on the device (VCR, TV or cable box) you want to program.

Step 2

Press and hold down the particular function-key button you want to program ("TV," "VCR" or "Cable Box").

Step 3

Enter the two-digit programming code for the model you are programming. For example, if you have a Phillips VCR, you will enter the two-digit code that corresponds to a Phillips VCR. You can find a list of codes in the User's Manual (See Reference). Once the code is entered, the mode key light will flash five times.

Step 4

Press the "Power" button to turn off the device. If it turns off, the programming was successful. If not, repeat the steps listed above to reprogram your Sanyo remote control.
