How to Put Pictures on an iPad
The iPad features a native application called "Photos" that allows you to save and manage images on the device. Featuring slideshow capabilities with various transition modes, the "Photos" app works as the device's main interface for storing images. While putting images saved on your computer onto your iPad must be performed using iTunes, saving images directly from the Web can be done through the device's native "Safari" Web browser application.
Transfer Pictures From a Computer
Move the pictures you want to put on your iPad into the "Pictures" folder on your computer. The "Pictures" folder is located in "My Documents."
Connect your iPad to the computer using the device's USB connector cable, and launch iTunes.
Click the iPad icon in the left side bar, and click the "Photos" button in the main window to open the "Photos" tab.
Check the box next to "Sync Photos From." Click the drop-down menu and select "Choose Folder." Navigate to "My Documents." Click to highlight "Pictures," and click "OK."
Click "Apply" in the lower left. ITunes synchronizes your iPad and adds the pictures in your "Pictures" folder to the "Photos" app library.
Save Pictures From the Web
Open the "Safari" app on your iPad.
Tap the URL text field and type the address of the image you want to put on your iPad.
Press and hold your finger against the image. A drop-down menu appears. Tap "Save Image" to put the image in your "Photos" app library.
