How to Put Ringtones on iPhone
The iPhone isn't just a phone. It's a computer, a GPS device and a data organizer, among other things. There are applications to help you shop, drive and learn another language. Yet adding a ringtone to an iPhone can seem impossible if you don't know how to do it. Thankfully, once you learn how to add ringtones to your iPhone, you'll see how easy the process really is.
Things You'll Need
- ITunes account
- USB cord
Open your iTunes account.
Right-click on the song you would like to make a ringtone and click "Create ringtone".
Move the blue bar around until you find the snippet of song you would like to use as your ringtone. You can move the blue bar by clicking on the dash marks above the song. Click "Preview" to hear your snippet.
Click "Purchase" once you are happy with how your ringtone sounds.
Confirm your purchase by entering your password and clicking "OK."
Connect your iPhone to your computer via your USB cord.
Click on the icon for your iPhone.
Click on the ringtone tab, and scroll down and click the box next to the ringtone you just downloaded.
Click "Apply". Your iPhone will now sync. Disconnect from the USB cord when it is done syncing.
Click the "Settings" application on your iPhone. Scroll down to "Settings" and click on it with your finger.
Touch the "Ringtone" button. You will find your ringtone under the word "Custom" at the top of the page.
Touch your finger to the file name to make it your ringtone.

- Your ringtone can only be made from a song purchased through iTunes.
