How to Record TV Shows From the Internet

The Internet allows people to have access to TV shows they missed when the shows aired on television. It is also possible to record the TV shows that you watch from the Internet using Windows Media Center. Having this ability provides you with more convenience to watch the shows you've missed at your leisure.

Things You'll Need

  • Computer
  • Windows Media Center

Currently Airing Recordings

Step 1

Click "Start" from the task bar and choose "All Programs."

Step 2

Select "Windows Media Center" from the list of programs.

Step 3

Click the icon in the upper, right corner to enlarge the window.

Step 4

Scroll down and choose "TV" from the "Start" window. Choose "Live TV."

Step 5

Choose the desired TV show from the list and then hover the mouse pointer over the screen while the show is playing. Select "Record" from the control options that appear.

Scheduled Recordings

Step 1

Click "Start" from the task bar and then "All Programs."

Step 2

Select "Windows Media Center" from the list of programs.

Step 3

Scroll down and choose "TV" from the start window. Select "Guide" to open the TV show guide.

Step 4

Choose the show that you want to record and then right-click it. Select "Record" from the options to set up a scheduled recording.
