How to Register HP Products

After purchasing a new Hewlett-Packard product, the manufacturer highly recommends that you register your product. According to HP, registering your product allows them to provide you with quicker and more efficient support. It is a simple task that can be completed on their website in just a few minutes. All that you need is the model number, serial number and some basic personal information. Product and serial numbers can be found on the box the product came in or on the product itself, usually on the bottom or back of the device.

Step 1

Go to HP's website to register online. The link can be found in the Resources section below.

Step 2

Click the link "Register Your Product," located at the bottom of the screen under "Resources."

Step 3

Enter the name of your product and click "Search."

Step 4

Complete the registration form by entering the serial number of the product and your personal information.

Step 5

Click "Finish Registration."

  • After registering, check your email for a confirmation and additional support details from HP.
  • Personal and product information can be edited at any time by logging into your account on HP's website.
