How to Remove a Norton Firewall Blocking Internet Access

By Jason Candanedo

Symantec designs an antivirus program called "Norton Antivirus." Antivirus programs are designed to protect your computer from virus infections as well as identify and remove malicious software. The firewall is also one of Norton’s components. This firewall blocks Internet connections to protect your computer. If you are having problems going online because of Norton’s firewall, you can disable the firewall to resume connection.

Things You'll Need

  • Norton Internet Security

Step 1

Run Norton Internet Security. Double-click on the Norton Internet Security icon located on your computer's desktop.
