How to Remove LogMeIn

LogMeIn is remote desktop software that allows you to control your computer from any other location that has Internet access. The software is compatable with both the Windows and OSX operating systems. When LogMeIn is running on a computer, the computer is accessible to anyone with the password. If you are no longer using the LogMeIn software, uninstall the software to prevent unauthorized access to your computer.

Windows

Step 1

Open the "Start" menu and then click "Control Panel."

Step 2

Click "Programs" and then click "Programs and Features."

Step 3

Scroll down in the programs list in the Programs and Features window and select "LogMeIn."

Step 4

Click "Uninstall" on the top on the screen to open the uninstaller.

Step 5

Click "Next" to remove the software from your computer.

Step 6

Click "OK" to close the uninstaller after the removal is confirmed.

Apple OS X

Step 1

Click on the desktop and then hold the "Command" button and press "N" to open a new Finder window.

Step 2

Click "Applications," located on the sidebar of the new Finder window.

Step 3

Double-click the folder labeled "LogMeIn."

Step 4

Double-click LogMeInUninstaller to launch the uninstaller.

Step 5

Click "Yes" to confirm that you would like to remove the software from your system.
