How to Replace Dodge Durango Speakers
The Dodge Durango SUV comes equipped from the factory with a stereo sound system that has speakers located in the dashboard, front doors, and rear doors. If you need to replace the speakers, there are several steps required to access and remove the original speakers before mounting the new ones.

Hook your fingers onto the top of the front pillar trim panel on the driver's side and pull down firmly. This will release the trim panel. On the back of the trim panel is a small plastic strap. Slide it off and remove the trim panel.
Look for two plastic screw covers on the passenger side front pillar trim panel. Pry these open with a small flat-blade screwdriver and remove the 10mm screws behind them. Pull the trim panel off from the top edge with your fingers.
Pry up the front portion of the dashboard (the part nearest the window, with the speaker grilles) with a panel tool. Lift the panel up and remove it when it's loose.
Take out the two 7mm screws holding each speaker in place. Lift the speakers out and disconnect the plugs connected to them.
Plug the wiring connector into the new speakers, mount them in place with the screws and reassemble the panels you've removed by reversing the steps used in removal.
Front door speakers
Remove the Phillips-head screw on the door pull release trim.
Pry up the panel with the power window switches with your panel tool, starting from the rear. Lift it out and unplug the wiring harnesses.
Take out the two Phillips screws from the bottom of the door panel, then pry out the top edge of the plastic sail panel on the front edge of the door panel. Lift up and remove the door panel.
Remove the three Torx T20 screws holding the speaker in place. Unplug the speaker connector, plug in the new speaker and put it in place with the Torx screws.
Reassemble the door panel by reversing the steps.
Rear door speakers
Take out the Phillips screw on the door pull release trim.
Pry up the power window switch, unplug the wiring and remove it.
Take out two the Phillips screws at the bottom of the door panel.
Lift the door panel up and remove it from the door.
Undo the three Torx screws holding the speaker in place. Lift the speaker out and unplug the wiring. Connect the new speaker to the wiring, put it in place with the Torx screws and reassemble the door by reversing the previous steps.
