How to Reset Trial Kaspersky

Now that your Kaspersky trial is over, you are left without free anti-virus software. According to your trial software, it is time to purchase a license. However, you feel you need more time to evaluate the software. Is there a way to renew your trial Kaspersky anti-virus software? Yes, there is.

Step 1

Open Kaspersky and allow it to load.

Step 2

Disable "Self-Defense" in the "Options" menu at the top of the Kaspersky menu page. by removing the check mark next to "Enable Self-Defense."

Step 3

Exit the Kaspersky program.

Step 4

Click "Run" within your Windows Start menu and enter "regedit," and hit the "Enter" key. This will open your Registry Editor on Windows.

Step 5

Locate the file "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Kaspersky Lab > protected > AVP9 > environment" within your Registry Editor and open it. You will see ProductStatus after the file opens.

Step 6

Change the type of release or version to "Beta." Click "OK."

Step 7

Reopen Kaspersky.

Step 8

Open the "License menu," and click on "Activate Beta License." Follow the directions in the dialog box till you reach "Finish."

Step 9

Recheck "Enable Self-Defense" within the "Options" menu at the top of the Kaspersky menu page. Your trial Kaspersky has been reset.
