Resetting your Clear Internet modem may be required when you are unable to obtain a proper wireless Internet signal. The first step in being able to troubleshoot the Clear modem is to reboot the device and your computer. You can reset the modem itself in less than 30 seconds. When your computer finishes rebooting, the issue you are experiencing with the modem should be corrected as long as there are no other reasons for the interruption of your service.
Unplug the power cable from the back of the modem. The power cable does not have to be removed from the AC wall outlet at this time.
Wait 15 seconds for the modem's internal memory to be reset. Plug the power cable back into the modem's "DC" input jack after the time has elapsed.
Restart your computer. Go to "Start" and then Shutdown." Choose "Restart" from the pop-up menu that appears and wait for the computer to restart. The modem will now be reset, allowing you to acquire a signal once again.
