How to Restore an HP System Without a Disc

The HP computer uses a Microsoft Windows operating system to allow multiple users on your system. When your computer isn't working properly, you can do a system restore to restore the computer back to an earlier version. When you restore your HP computer, you will get rid of any viruses or malware that are on your system. You won't have to get in touch with Microsoft or HP to perform this restore, and you don't need any kind of disc.

Step 1

Turn the computer off and then turn it back on. Hold down the "F8" key when the computer starts to enter Windows Boot mode.

Step 2

Key over to the "Safe Mode With Command Prompt" option with the arrow keys on your keyboard.

Step 3

Log into your system as an administrator. Enter the administrator password into the field when prompted and then click on the "OK" button to log in.

Step 4

Type "%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe" and press the "Enter" key to begin the computer's restore process.

Step 5

Go through the system restore prompts to restore your HP computer.
