Netgear is a computer networking product manufacturer that supplies over 37,000 retail stores with popular Wi-Fi, broadband and Ethernet solutions for both home and business needs. If you happen to utilize one of Netgear’s wireless or wired Ethernet broadband router solutions, you may run across an instance where you find it necessary to reset your router back to its factory settings. If you find that your Netgear router has malfunctioned, performing a hard reset may alleviate the problem.
Locate the small "Reset" button on the back of your Netgear router.
Press and hold the "Reset" button using a straightened paperclip, or the end of a ballpoint pen for approximately 10 seconds.
Allow the router to restart in order for the factory default settings to load.
