How to See Recent Incoming Calls on an iPhone

Apple's iPhone consists of a call log that keeps track of all incoming and outgoing calls. Certain details of the calls are also recorded, including dates, times, number of calls and length of calls. The call log and its accompanying details can all be found through the Phone application that comes installed on the device at time of purchase.

Step 1

Tap on the "Phone" application in the toolbar at the bottom of the main screen.

Step 2

Tap on the "Recents" icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the Phone screen.

Step 3

Tap on the "All" tab at the top of the page to view all call activity. Names or phone numbers in red are incoming calls that you missed. Names or phone numbers in black with an image of a telephone receiver and an arrow pointing away from the receiver refer to calls that you made. Names or phone numbers in black with an image of a telephone receiver and arrow pointing toward the receiver refer to incoming calls you answered. The time beside the name or number refers to the time the call was made or received. A number in brackets beside the name or phone number refers to the number of times you called that person or he called you.

Step 4

Tap on the arrow beside any name or number to view the Info page for that call. Here you will find the date and time of the call, the call duration, all the contact information you have for that person and the ringtone assigned to that contact. Also, at the bottom of the Info page you will see three buttons, one to send a text message to that person, one to share that person's contact information via email or text messaging and one to add that contact to your favorite's list.

Step 5

Tap the back button, located in the top left corner of the screen.

Step 6

Tap the "Missed" tab at the top of the screen. Here you will find a list consisting of only the calls you missed.

Step 7

Press the home button at the bottom of the screen to exit the iPhone application.
