How to Send Music From My Mac to iPhone

The iPhone, a mobile phone made by Apple, can play games and run applications, including the iPod app, which you use for listening to music. You can store thousands of songs on your iPhone .As of early 2011, the iPhone had a 16 GB or 32 GB flash drive, depending on the configuration. You can easily transfer music from your Mac to your iPhone using free software that comes already installed on your Mac.

Step 1

Connect your iPhone and your Mac with the iPhone's USB cable. The iTunes application should automatically start up. If it doesn't, click on iTunes in the dock to launch it. An icon of your iPhone will appear on the left side of the iTunes window.

Step 2

Click the iPhone icon in the iTunes window, and then click the "Music" tab.

Step 3

Click the "Sync Music" check box, and then click "Entire Music Library" if you want to transfer all the music in your iTunes library to your iPhone, or click "Selected Playlists, Artists, Albums and Genres." Choose selected music if the size of your iTunes library exceeds the capacity of your iPhone, and then click on specific playlists, albums artists or genres. Click "Music" in the left pane of the iTunes window to see a list of all your songs. The number of songs and how much space they take up appears at the bottom of the iTunes window.

Step 4

Click "Apply." The music you selected will start copying over to your iPhone. Right-click on the iPhone icon, and then click "Eject." Disconnect your iPhone from the Mac.
