How to Set Up a Philips Universal Remote

By Shelley Marie

The Philips universal remote allows you to to program up to four different devices, including TVs, DVD or VCR players, and satellite or cable boxes. There are two ways to set up your Philips universal remote. The remote includes a Simple Setup feature that automatically detects the device and programs it into the remote. If the remote doesn't detect the device, you can program the remote manually using the device code.
