How to Set Up a Wireless Laptop With a Printer
Users with a wireless laptop computer don't necessarily need to connect it to a printer via a USB cable in order to print documents. Another option is to use one of the other computers in your home to share the printer over your wireless network. That enables the laptop to send documents to the printer through the network, allowing access to the printer from anywhere in your home.
Turn on the computer that is connected via USB to the printer.
Open the "Control Panel" (via the "Start" menu) and click "Devices and Printers."
Right-click on the printer's icon. Click "Properties."
Click the "Sharing" tab. Select "Share this Printer."
Click "Apply." Your wireless laptop computer will now be able to access the printer over the wireless network.
