How to Set Yahoo As the Main Web Page
The main page in a Web browser, also known at the browser's home page, is the website that automatically appears inside the browser every time that you open that particular browser. While every Web browser has a default main page, you can change that page to any website of your choosing. The Yahoo! search engine can become the browser's main page by typing in the website's URL in the proper settings box that is located in your Web browser.
Open an Internet Explorer browser.
Click "Tools" at the top of the browser and a drop-down menu will appear.
Choose "Internet Options" found in that drop-down menu. A small window will open in Internet Explorer.
Click on the "General" tab found at the top of the open window. A blank "Home Page" text box will appear at the top of the open window.
Enter "www.yahoo.com" inside the "Home Page" text box.
Click "Apply" and "OK" in the window. Yahoo! will become the main page, or home page, in Internet Explorer.
