How to Speed Up an MSN Explorer Browser

Like Google and Yahoo, MSN has developed its own Explorer browser that allows users to surf the Internet. When it's lagging and not operating to its fullest potential, you can do a few things to increase the browser's speed. Your Internet speed plays a large role in how fast any browser runs, but the number of users on the network and how much bandwidth is being used also affect your surfing capabilities.

The speed of browsing is determined by your overall Internet speed.

Step

Verify that you are connected to the Internet. An unstable connection that continues to drop will inevitably slow down your browser. If you are using Wi-Fi, try connecting directly to the router for a continuous uninterrupted connection.

Step

Close all other external applications running on your computer or exit out of other loading tabs. Attempting to load more than one browser window at once requires a large amount of bandwidth, thus slowing your surfing speed.

Step

Exit out of any files you are currently downloading. Your computer eats up a large amount of the Internet connection for downloads, meaning it could potentially slow down your browser.

Step

Clear all of your cookies and cache. This can be done from the security settings of any browser or directly from your Internet preferences on your computer. A lack of memory may cause the browser to operate at a slower pace.

Step

Uninstall and reinstall the browser if the problem persists. There may have been difficulty in the original downloading of the browser, causing the program to be corrupt and not function properly.
