How to Stop iPhone Auto Play Pop-ups in Windows 7
When you plug in an iPhone into your Windows 7 computer to charge the battery or do a quick sync for music, contacts or calendar, you may instead first see an AutoPlay window. This Microsoft operating system includes this feature to make it easy to perform the same action every time you plug in an external device, but it can be annoying if you regularly use the same device for different purposes. By disabling the AutoPlay feature on your computer, you can prevent programs from launching before you need them.
Things You'll Need
Click the icon for the Windows Start menu on your desktop.
Type "Autoplay" in the search box, make sure the AutoPlay program is highlighted and then press the "Enter" key on your keyboard.
Scroll through the list in the window that opens until you find your iPhone's name under the Devices heading.
Click the drop-down box, and select the "Take no action" option.
Click the "Save" button to stop AutoPlay from launching for your iPhone.
