How to Submit Your URL to Top Three Search Engines
Increase website traffic and page views by submitting your URL to the top three search engines. They each offer free "Submit URL" forms to simplify the process. The top three search engines in 2010 were Google, Yahoo! and Bing; over 90 percent of U.S. search engine traffic comes from these three search engines.
Copy the URL for the main page of your website. It isn't necessary to submit other site pages since the search engines scan all the pages of a website.
Navigate to the Google "Add Your URL to Google" website. Paste your website's URL into the URL box. In the Comments box, add keywords that describe the content of your website. In the Optional section, type the security code shown. Click on "Add URL." You should receive a notice that your URL has been added to the list of URLs to be crawled. Google does not guarantee that all submitted URLs will be added to the Google index.
Submit a website URL to Yahoo! at the Yahoo! site explorer Web page. Enter Yahoo account information to submit a URL to Yahoo. If you don't have an account, the site prompts you to register for a free account. After logging in to your Yahoo! account, click "Submit a Website or Webpage." Paste your URL into the Submit URL box and click on "Submit Site Feed." You should receive a thank you page.
Go to the "Submit your site to Bing" Web page. Type the letters or characters you see into the "Character" box. Paste your URL into the URL box. Click on the "Submit URL" button. You should receive a thank you notice for submitting your URL.
