How to Take out a Cell Phone's Camera for Use

By Marshal M. Rosenthal

The 3G iPhone replaced the previous generation’s digital camera with one that provided more detail and resolution. You can remove the digital camera from the 3G iPhone without removing cables and connectors from it because of its modular nature. You will have to open the 3G iPhone, voiding the Apple warranty. You will need a few hardware tools and an iPod opening tool from an iPod supply store. You will be able to disassemble and remove the iPhone’s digital camera within 20 minutes.
