How to Trace a Skype Phone
Skype is a software program that allows you to make and receive calls over a high-speed Internet connection. Skype connects to the IP address of the person you want to talk with. From time to time, you may want to trace a Skype phone call from a caller that you do not know or from someone that sends you inappropriate messages. You can use Command Prompt to discover that individual's IP address. Then, you can use the IP address to trace the person.

- Pen and paper

Select "Contacts" and click the contact that placed the call to you.

Go to the Command Prompt window once the person accepts your call. Type "netstat-nb" and press "Enter."
Locate "Skype" on the list of running programs. Write down the number next to it. This is your Skype contact's IP address.
