Every country has an international telephone country code that precedes the area code or local phone number. There are a number of international phone tracking services that can find from where a phone call was placed by searching a phone number database, which includes country codes as well as area code information. By entering a phone number into one of these websites, you can find the country and region from which a phone call came.
Visit an international phone tracking website, such as TP2Location.
Type the international phone number into the "Search" box.
Click the "Search" or "Analyze" button. The name of the country and region from which the phone number originates will appear on the screen. For TP2Location, choose "U.S./Canada" or "International" after entering the telephone number into the "Search" field.
