How to Track iPhone Web History

By Lara Webster

The Apple iPhone allows users to browse the Internet anywhere they can get wireless Internet access, and wherever the AT&T network offers 3G data service. As with any Internet browser, users can track where they've been on their phones by accessing the browser's history. The iPhone allows owners to track this information by following just a few short steps.

Step 1

Click on the "Safari" icon on your iPhone's homepage.

Step 2

Tap the "Bookmarks" icon on the toolbar. The icon appears as the image of an open book, and is immediately to the right of the "+" icon.

Step 3

Tap "History," at the very top of the screen.

Step 4

Navigate through the history by scrolling up and down on the screen. The history for the current day will appear one website link at a time, while the previous six days' history will appear as one folder for each day. Opening a folder will show each Web link visited on that particular day.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can clear an iPhone's Web history by clicking on the "Clear" icon at the bottom of the screen.
