How to Track the Location of Mobile Phones

Global positioning satellite (GPS) service comes equipped with many cell phones. A GPS is one of the most popular ways to track a cell phone. This feature allows a person to track his misplaced or lost phone. It is also a great feature for parents to locate their children through their GPS-enabled mobile phone. Free software programs such as Mologogo, Buddy Way and Instamapper allow you to track a mobile phone's location.

Mologogo

Step 1

Complete the registration process for a Mologogo account at Mologogo.com. Sign in with your user name and password if you already have an account.

Step 2

Download the software to your mobile phone.

Step 3

Log into the account and follow the steps listed to track the mobile phone.

Buddy Way

Step 1

Register for a Buddy Way account at Buddyway.com. Follow the instructions for registering the mobile phone. This will include creating an account password and user name.

Step 2

Install the tracking software to the mobile phone.

Step 3

Sign into your Buddy Way account and track the mobile phone using the tracking instructions given.

Instamapper

Step 1

Go to the Instamapper website Instamapper.com. Create an account or sign in to your account with your user name and password.

Step 2

Look for the map that is displayed on the screen with the blinking light.

Step 3

Follow the blinking light that is labeled with the user name that you created. This will let you know where the mobile phone is located.
