How to Transfer BBM Contacts

By Neil Edwards

Research in Motion's BlackBerry smartphones not only allow you to stay connected with your contacts via text messages and emails, but also allow you to exchange messages with other BlackBerry users with a service called BlackBerry Messenger. BlackBerry Messenger uses each BlackBerry's unique PIN to direct messages to the correct recipient. BlackBerry Messenger contacts can be backed up onto a computer using BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and the same software can also be used to transfer them to a new device.
