When browsing the World Wide Web, pop-up windows were designed originally to offer informative information relevant to the current webpage. However, pop-up windows quickly became the target of advertisers and spammers. This led to nearly all computer Web browsers to include a pop-up blocker that is enabled by default. Safari, the default Web browser on Apple Mac computers, enables its pop-up blocker by default. You can disable the pop-up blocker when you need to view pop-up windows on the Internet.
Open the Safari Web browser.
Click the "Safari" menu in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Click "Block Pop-Up Windows" to uncheck this default option. Websites that feature pop-ups now appear when they are browsed.
