How to Unlock a Scroll Bar
The scroll bar is the bar located on the side of programs such as "Microsoft Office" or "Internet Explorer" which allow you to scroll through and view individual pages. This function can become locked out if a user turns on the "Scroll Lock" function. This function is typically tied to a key on the keyboard, but as it is rarely used, it may not be present on the keyboard at all. In this case, the scroll lock can be turned off in Microsoft Windows, which will unlock the scroll bar.
Press the "Scroll Lock" key on the keyboard, if one is present, to unlock the scroll bar.
Click the "Start" menu, then click "All Programs."
Click "Onscreen Keyboard," then click "OK" on the dialog box that appears.
Click "SLK" on the onscreen keyboard to unlock the scroll bar.
