Microsoft Office 2007 can protect an Excel spreadsheet from unauthorized changes. The “Review” tab on the command Ribbon includes a “Protect Sheet” button to restrict editing. You can opt to enter a password to allow users to unprotect the sheet. Clicking the “Unprotect Sheet” button releases the Excel spreadsheet for editing.
Click on the “Review” tab on the command Ribbon.
Click on the “Unprotect Sheet” button on the “Changes” group. The spreadsheet will be available for editing. If the spreadsheet is password protected, a dialog box entitled “Unprotect Sheet” will open.
Enter the password, if applicable. Click on the “OK” button.
