How to Update to the Latest Adobe Flash Player Product

Adobe Flash Player is an application that lets users view movies, animations and other similar files inside of Web browsers that have been installed on the computer. Updating the version of Adobe Flash Player that has been installed on your computer can troubleshoot the Flash Player and cause animations to open more quickly inside the web browser. While the method for updating Adobe Flash Player varies per operating system and web browser, you should acquire such updates only from the official Adobe website.

Windows, Safari, Firefox and Opera.

Step 1

Visit the "Install Adobe Flash Player" download page.

Step 2

Click "Agree and install now." A new page opens, and a download window opens.

Step 3

Click "Install Now" in the download window. The latest Adobe Flash Player downloads.

Step 4

Restart the web browser to complete the installation.

Other operating systems/web browsers

Step 1

Go to the Adobe Flash Player "different version of Adobe Flash Player" web page.

Step 2

Click inside the "Select an operating system" box. Choose the operating system running on your computer. Click "Continue."

Step 3

Choose the version of Flash Player beneath the "Continue" button that you're downloading. The version you choose depends on the operating system you selected and the browser you use. For example, if you selected "Windows" in step 2, choose either the "Internet Explorer" option or the "Other Browser" option.

Step 4

Click "Agree and install now." A download window and new web page open.

Step 5

Click "Install Now" inside the download window. Adobe Flash Player updates. Restart the browser once the download completes.
