With Classroom 4 Teachers.org, designing a classroom can take just a moment of your time. Decide where things need to go. Choose colors of floors, furniture and more. To help you understand how to use this site follow the steps below.
Things You'll Need
- Internet connection
Log on to Classroom4teachers.org. You will know that you are at the right site when you see “Classroom Architect” at the top of the page.
Select the dimensions that support the size of your classroom. You may want to measure your classroom before you start. Knowing the proper dimensions will give you a better idea of how to fit all that you want into your room. For example, if you try to fit six tables into a room that can only hold three, you will be wasting your time. This will force you to have to start over.
Select the furniture that you would like in your classroom. To do this, while holding down the left button on your mouse over one of the pieces of furniture, drag it down to the “Classroom.”
Adjust the direction that your furniture is in. To do this click on the one of the arrows that is on the piece of furniture. The arrow pointing down will turn your piece left. The arrow pointing right will turn your piece right.
Change the color of your furniture or the floor by using the tools under the “Draw” tool pad. First click on the color pad and choose the color. Then click on the paint brush and paint the piece that you would like that color in your classroom.
Save your floor plan for later. You can click save at the bottom of the page and then choose the title of your floor plan. The software will then save your plan under that name. Bring it back up later to finish or to compare with this years floor plan.
Print your floor plan out to bring with you to your classroom. It is much easier to complete your change in your room when you have the plans to look at.
Tips & Warnings
- • Post several copies of the plan throughout the room so you don’t have to keep walking across the room for your plan.
