How to View a Deleted Facebook Page

By Leonardo R. Grabkowski

Once a Facebook page is deleted, it's gone forever. However, you may be able to view a cached or archived version of the page using either a search engine or the Internet's Wayback Machine, an online webpage archiving service. Search engines generally keep cached copies of pages for a limited time, so you may have trouble viewing a Facebook fan page that's been deleted for a while.

Step 1

Navigate to the Internet Wayback machine at archive.org. Type the page's URL into the box and click "Take Me Back." Click on the date for the archived copy of the page, if it exists.

Step 2

Type the page's name into Google and click on "Cached" when it appears in the results. If you have trouble finding it, follow your search term with the following tag: site:facebook.com

Step 3

Navigate to Bing (bing.com) and enter the page's name to find cached copies of the page. Narrow the search down by "site:facebook.com" and click on "Cached Page" to open the previous copy of the page.

Step 4

Navigate to Yahoo (yahoo.com) and enter the page's name to find cached copies of the page. Narrow the search down by "site:facebook.com" and click on "Cached" to open the previous copy of the page.
