How to Watch TV on a iPhone
Apple's iPhone offers a number of applications, or apps, which allow you to watch live TV. In addition, numerous TV shows are available online for instant download, while several more can be purchased and copied over from Apple's iTunes software. Since the iPhone is designed to be user-friendly, the steps aren't hard. You just need to decide which form of viewing works best for you, then find the particular shows you want.

Turn on your home computer and open the iTunes software, then click on the "iTunes Store" option in the left-hand column. Wait for the store to boot up.
Type the name of an application which allows you to watch TV in the search box in the upper right-hand corner of the iTunes window. Popular apps include TVU, OrbLive, and netTV.
Compare the pros and cons of each application before buying. Most of them cost a good amount of money (far more than most apps) so make sure it can get the shows you want.
Click "Buy App" when you have chosen the app you want. iTunes will ask for credit card information before downloading the application.
Connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cable that came with it, then wait for the iPhone symbol to appear on the left-hand column of iTunes.
Click on the iPhone symbol, then select the "Applications" tab. It will show you all the apps you have purchased. Make sure the box next to your newly purchased app has a check mark in it.
Press the "Sync" button in the lower left-hand corner of the iTunes windows. It will upload the new app to your iPhone along with all the others you have selected.
Wait until the computer tells you that the upload is complete, then disconnect the iPhone and search for the new app on the screen. Press it and follow the instructions to watch live television as you wish.
Using the Internet
Activate your iPhone and click on the "Safari" app at the bottom of the screen. It should give you access to the Internet.
Search for a website which provides streaming files of television shows. Hulu.com is an excellent choice, as are the home pages of various networks such as Fox and ABC.
Check the website for the show you want, then click on the episode you wish to view. It should appear on your screen, allowing you watch it at your leisure.
Turn on your home computer and activate the iTunes software. Click on the "iTunes Store" option and wait for the store to come online.
Select the "TV Show" option in the iTunes store, then scan for the name of the TV show you want to watch. Use the search engine in the upper right-hand corner of the iTunes window if you need to.
Purchase the episode you want to watch by clicking on the indicated button in the iTunes window. Your credit card will be charged and the episode will download onto your hard drive.
Connect your iPhone using the USB cable that came with it, then click on the iPhone symbol when it appears in the left-hand column of the iTunes window.
Select the "TV Shows" tab and make sure there's a check mark in the box next to the episode you have downloaded. Then click the "Sync" button in the lower right-hand corner of the iTunes screen.
Wait for the show to be uploaded into your iPhone, then disconnect it .
Click on the "iPod" app in the lower right-hand corner of the iPhone screen, then select the show you have downloaded and watch as normal.
