iMac (27-inch with Retina 5K display, late 2015)by Apple
PROS
- The 27-inch display is absolutely stunning at 5,120 x 2,880 pixels.
- Performance is very good with the new Intel Skylake processor, although it's a modest increase over Haswell.
- The new Bluetooth keyboard, mouse, and trackpad are improved and rechargeable now.
CONS
- The port placement at the back of the iMac is a nuisance and hasn't been addressed. Also, it lacks Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C ports.
- Base models include a performance-killing mechanical hard drive. Nearly every reviewer highly suggests upgrading to either Apple's Fusion drive or an SSD.
- The integrated graphics performance is just average.

If I have one minor complaint it’s that the screen doesn’t have any height adjustment: you can only tilt it.

... what Apple didn’t announce was the ability to use these 5K Retina iMacs as an external display using Target Display mode. Checking the company’s support site, it turns out Apple updated its Target Display documentation the following day, confirming that none of the 2015 iMacs support the feature.
