HC1200by BenQ
PROS
- This projector does a great job at handling presentation tasks, and displays sharp images.
- The HC1200 displays the full sRGB color range to provide true-to-life color.
- 3D may not have caught on, but if you have 3D content, you can rest assured that the HC1200 will handle it well.
CONS
- Audio quality is good enough, but you'll want external speakers if you plan on using the HC1200 in a large room.
- Despite good overall video quality, picture quality came up a little short in some home-theater applications.
- At $1300, the HC1200 is not cheap as far as projectors go, so you'll want to look elsewhere if you're on a tight budget.

The projector's high contrast image makes it look razor sharp, but it's also just a naturally sharp projector. Focus is perfect from edge to edge, and that's not always the case with inexpensive projectors. And since it is native 1080p, it can render full HD images without any scaling.

Contrast from the BenQ HC1200 is noticeably better than other home theater projectors I've used: blacks are "blacker" and the brights are brighter while still retaining detail in the highlights and shadows of the movie or TV you're watching.

As a home-theater projector, 1080p makes the HC1200 suitable for showing full HD video. As a data projector, the high resolution makes it most appropriate if you need to show fine detail, as with an engineering drawing, or show lots of data at once, in a large spreadsheet, say, or multiple windows.
But the real star of the show is the HC1200’s sRGB mode. This mode provides exceptional color accuracy while putting out over 2000 lumens.
