PROS

  • The Lola produces high-quality sound with an especially impressive base range.
  • Every part of the headphones is adjustable, allowing for a comfortable, secure fit.
  • With memory foam padding and leather-like vinyl lining, the Lola is comfortable to wear.

CONS

  • Because of the bulk around the ears, the Lola is uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time.
  • While technically portable, the Lola takes up a lot of space.
  • Some experts claim the base is too overpowering and the treble too weak.
The Lola balances sound quality with portability. Though hefty, the Lola is ultimately snug and comfortable with a multi-jointed headband. Created by Blue Microphones, the Lola is capable of playing a large range of sound clearly with an especially impressive base range. The headband is lined with leather-like vinyl and the ear cups stuffed with memory foam. It comes with a soft case, two cables, and an adapter. There are no buttons on the headphones, but one of the cords has buttons to control the volume, pause, skip tracks, and answer phone calls.

I'm impressed with the Blue Lola. I've been messing around with mid-fi headphones in its price range, and they stand up to whatever I've tested if not excelling. I used these for about a month, and I was using them in place of headphones I bought for myself.

If you’re going in the studio or want a pair of designated headphones for your desk then these are a great option, but there are plenty of other great options to choose from as well. Even though the sound is great and I really enjoyed these, it’s hard to recommend these for everyday usage.

They’re a little bit bulky for travel, but that hasn’t stopped me from using them for that. Even without the noise cancellation that so many headphones marketed at travelers sport, and even when no music is playing, the Lola dampens a good bit of the airplane noise that makes it so hard to fall asleep or concentrate when trying to work on a cross-country flight.
