EOS Rebel T6s/760Dby Canon
PROS
- The articulating touch-screen display provides versatility for shooting, while Canon retains the familiar physical button controls many users already know.
- The massive number of megapixels on the APS-C sensor means this camera provides great reach and crops tightly.
- The camera's built-in Wi-Fi and NFC make it easy to connect to smartphones and other devices.
CONS
- The viewfinder lacks full coverage of the scene, which makes accurate framing a challenge.
- The battery life isn't as strong as that of competitors.
- This camera's auto-focus system, which includes tracking, sensitivity, and access to focus points, lacks the finesse and elegant design of more advanced models.

Canon has created a versatile camera that gives photographers plenty of control while offering automated options for inexperienced users. The vari-angle touchscreen control is especially well implemented and is backed-up by buttons and dials that may initially find more favour with old-school photographers.

The Canon EOS Rebel T6s is a strong performer that should appeal to consumers and budding enthusiasts alike. It delivers an excellent value of image quality, speed, and ergonomics, making it one of the better-balanced SLRs in its class.

For the photographer who already has an elementary knowledge of how DSLRs work, the Rebel T6s is a strong choice. It snaps clear, vibrant pictures that are accurately colored (in the right modes). I also like the tilting LCD that makes composing scenes at odd angles a breeze. But it could use a simpler white-balance setup process, and with the kit lens, it’s pretty heavy.

The Rebel T6s brings resolution and low-light performance in line with its 2015 peers. The 19-point, all cross-type AF system is a welcome upgrade to the line, but is limited in its coverage and isn't good at following subjects moving around the frame.
While the T6s embodies the spirit of an enthusiast DSLR, at heart it’s still an entry-level Rebel.

The Canon EOS Rebel T6s is not only a big improvement over the Canon EOS Rebel T5i in many important respects, but it is also an attractive alternative to the Canon EOS Rebel T6i. The 24.2 megapixel sensor delivers great images, and the 19-point autofocus system works well in a variety of situations. High ISO performance is impressive even if low-light autofocus is not. The T6s handles particularly well out in the field due to its top information display and Quick Control dial.

...while the EOS 760D / T6s and its more affordable sibling, the EOS 750D / T6i look strong in Canon's range and competitive against Nikon's D5500, I'd say both are falling behind compared to rival mirrorless cameras costing roughly the same.
