Recommended, but seriously flawed. There are probably better alternatives.

Good looking speaker in a small form factor with a surprisingly large sound.
Built-in streaming for Spotify, Pandora, Rhapsody, and TuneIn, as well as local (USB stick), and device music libraries. More streaming services are being added.
Can be paired with another HEOS 3 for stereo, or grouped with other HEOS components.
Pricey--it's $100 more than the comparable Sonos Play:1.
Vibration and buzz when pushing a heavy bass tracks and the mids and upper tone range lacks detail.
Requires connectivity--it's useless without it. You can't even switch to the aux jack without using the app.
As the entry level to Denon’s Wi-Fi speaker system, the HEOS 3 is controlled by a free Android, Kindle, or iOS app. Listen to music with built-in streaming from Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, and Rhapsody, or play tunes that live on your phone, tablet, or USB memory stick. You can mount the speaker horizontally or vertically and optimize the sound for position through the app. Use singly, or configure two HEOS 3 speakers for stereo. An LED status light shows when the speaker is connected, searching for devices, or updating firmware. On-board buttons control up/down volume and mute (with indicator light).
