The PowerLite Home Cinema 2040 is an entry-level projector from Epson. This projector produces 1080p HD resolution from a 2,200-lumen lens, making it bright enough to see in a room with ambient light. This projector was well-received by reviewers for its excellent color quality out of the box, and it has a contrast ratio of 35,000:1, producing blacks superior to those of older Epson models. Another improvement over earlier models is the addition of MHL in one of the HDMI outputs, so you can plug in streaming sticks. The Home Cinema 2040 is small, measuring 14.6 by 14.3 by 7.2 inches, making it easily portable. The device is 3D-capable and includes a built-in 5-watt speaker.
