The Form 2 by Formlabs is an stereolithography 3D printer. SLA printers are not as common as fused filament fabrication printers. Instead of spools of filament, the Form 2 uses resin and lasers. Though resin can be messier that filament, it can produce extremely detailed models. The Form 2 connects over USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi. The included PreForm software is available for Mac and Windows. The package also includes a finishing kit, which contains tools to clean up the printed model--a necessary process with SLA printers.

This is not for the average consumer. The quality of the pieces is amazing but the curing process requires a bit of patience and room. I’d recommend this for a design shop or a professional setting where, at the very least, you have a big sink.
