based on the following sites

PROS

  • The Hero4 Black 4K can shoot high-quality 4K video at 30 frames per second and 1080p at 120 fps.
  • The camera captures 12MP stills at burst speeds of 12 fps and time lapse videos using the Time Lapse Video mode.
  • The camera has improved settings for shooting after dark.

CONS

  • The battery life is only about an hour,
  • You need a smartphone to preview the video.
  • The standard housing is waterproof to 33 feet. Further protection requires the optional dive housing.
While the digital camera industry has taken a big hit from the smartphone camera crowd, one of the more robust corners of the market has been the action cam segment. GoPro is far and away the leader in that segment, and its Hero4 Black is aimed at padding that lead. The unit can capture the highest resolution available--4K--and has a number of improvements over prior models, such as additional LEDs so you can see whether you're recording from any angle and a new context-sensitive menu system. The unit can also shoot 12MP stills at 30 fps and has new night modes for shooting after dark.
