Activeby iFit
PROS
- The iFit Active has excellent battery life for a rechargeable fitness tracker--up to two full weeks.
- The Active doesn't overcomplicate things--it records steps, hours slept, and lets you input calories and meals.
- The Active can sync wirelessly with some treadmills from top brands for more accurate exercise tracking.
CONS
- The Active isn't waterproof--you should be fine if you get caught in the rain, but showering or swimming with it isn't recommended.
- The Active has some durability issues: The glass used on its screen is prone to scratches, although the company says they're working on fixing this.
- The iFit app is clunky and inconsistent when it comes to syncing with the Active.

In contrast to many trackers, which can be worn only on the wrist, the iFit can be worn as a wristband, or clipped to your clothes or simply carried in your pocket. I wore it on my wrist. It was difficult to fasten and unfasten the band, but once the device was on my wrist, it felt lightweight and comfortable.

Overall, the design is particularly disappointing given the price. If it was a $12 fitness tracker like Pivotal Living we could accept it, but it's $79: not good enough.

The app wasn’t reliable when syncing with the iFit Active. After the first week, the app notified me that it "Cannot Sync" and I had to give it a hard reset. After doing so, I got the same message, and again, found myself repeating the same instructions of a hard reset and then re-syncing.
