PROS

  • The waterproof iHealth Wave monitors pool exercises in detail.
  • It's compatible with several devices and apps, including those made by other companies.
  • Its weeklong battery life is convenient.

CONS

  • The screen is hard to read in the sunlight.
  • Only the exercise duration is available to view during exercise.
  • The watch has no buttons, only a screen that flips through information when you tap it.
The iHealth Wave is an affordable, waterproof exercise watch. During a run, it tracks the steps, exercise time, and approximate calorie count. The swimming mode is much more robust. It counts the strokes individually for breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke, and other strokes, and it uses the stroke type when calculating the total calorie burn. Throughout the day, the Wave tracks the number of steps, active time, and sleep time and makes all the information available on the smartphone app, although most of the information is not available during exercise. It has a quiet vibrating alarm.

I can see calories burned, but they appear to be over estimated compared to 3 other apps. Not sure what to believe.
