Recommended, but seriously flawed. There are probably better alternatives.

PROS

  • The Flash is inexpensive and features a battery that can last up to six months.
  • The disc-shaped device can be worn either in a clip or a wristband, making it versatile.
  • The Flash is water resistant up to 30 meters.

CONS

  • The plastic design of the Flash can look and feel cheap, and the disc can pop out of the wristband.
  • The Flash lacks a true display; it features only a set of indicator lights that can be confusing.
  • Misfit's mobile app displays activity data but doesn't offer much in the way of data analysis.
The Misfit Flash proves that activity trackers don’t have to be expensive. The Flash is the company’s second tracker, following the more expensive Shine model. The Flash swaps the Shine’s metal build for plastic but keeps the same disc-shaped design, which allows it to be worn either in a wristband or in a clip attached to your clothing or shoe. The Flash tracks steps, distance, calories burned, and sleep, and it is water resistant as well. It lacks a true display, but uses a series of lights on the face of the disc to display the wearer’s progress and the time.

It sounds like a B-list superhero, but it's actually an accelerometer-based budget fitness tracker.
