Clearly above average. Only a couple of issues keep this from being best in class.

PROS

  • Gaming performance is good; games run well in 1080p. Playing first-tier games with the AG270 should be no problem.
  • An HDMI input port is included, allowing the AG270 to be used as an external monitor for other PCs or devices.
  • A multi-DVD drive comes standard, but a Blu-ray drive is available as well.

CONS

  • Display quality on the 27-inch screen isn't great and viewing angles are poor. The resolution is decent at 1080p, but 2K would've been better.
  • The internal components of the AG270 are laptop-based, instead of more powerful desktop parts.
  • User upgrades are limited on the AG270, which may be a sore point for tinkerers and enthusiasts.
All-in-One gaming desktops are rare, but that’s exactly what the MSI AG270 is. The 27-inch matte finish touchscreen display houses an Intel Core i7-4700HQ or i7-4860 processor. Two SO-DIMM memory slots allow up to 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M graphics card is included in the rig. A game-optimized Gigabit Ethernet card delivers high-speed networking and a dual-band Wireless AC card provides Wi-Fi connectivity. Storage is covered by a 3.5-inch SATA III drive and mSATA SSDs in a RAID configuration. The audio card is by Creative Labs and the built-in speakers by Yamaha. The unit weighs 35.6 pounds and is wall mountable.
