CONS

  • It's expensive.
  • Nest needs remote temperature sensors to measure temperatures room by room.
  • It doesn't integrate with Apple HomeKit.
Nest’s Learning Thermostat makes heating your home cool. Its latest version offers several key improvements, starting with a 40-percent larger screen, which is also sharper at 229 pixels per inch. It also boasts a new Farsight feature, which spots you across the room and lights up the screen, where the older version required you be no more than three feet away. Furnace Heads-Up is another new feature that looks for shutoff patterns that indicate a problem with the furnace. Nest claims the device saves so much energy it pays for itself. The company makes installation easy, providing screws and even a 4-bit screwdriver.
