PROS

  • The overall design feels good in your hand, and the phone is easy to hold.

  • As with all Windows Phone smartphones, you're going to have a hard time finding the same apps that are available to iOS and Android users.
  • The front camera excels at selfies, but the rear camera falls flat.
  • The overall performance can be sluggish.
Nokia's Lumia 735 is a budget-friendly smartphone that runs on Microsoft's Windows Phone platform. Sitting above the 4.7-inch, 720p high-definition display is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back is a 6.7-megapixel camera with an LED flash. Wireless charging, which requires a compatible charging pad, is built in. Internal storage is limited to just 16GB with support for up to 128GB of external storage in the form of a microSD card.

As a mid-range handset, the Lumia 735 is a very attractive handset. Windows Phone as an operating system really flies on this device’s hardware, and the focus placed on the forward facing camera has created a smartphone that is uniquely marketable. Pixel count isn’t everything, and the rear facing 6.7 megapixel captures some great images.
