VERDICT
Clearly above average. Only a couple of issues keep this from being best in class.

PROS

  • At $400, the OnePlus 3 is a steal. Packing flagship specs into an affordable price, without skimping on performance is rare.
  • The metal housing looks and feels like a premium device.
  • The invite system OnePlus has relied on to gauge interest is gone.

CONS

  • Lacking expandable storage or a swappable battery is sure to disappoint some, especially when you consider it only comes with 64GB of storage.
  • Dash Charge is a proprietary system, limiting your use of super charging your battery on the go.
  • There are mixed reports when it comes to battery life, with some reviewers finding it to exceed expectations while others found it lacking.
OnePlus is trying its hand at producing a low-cost, high-performance smartphone for the masses. And for the most part, it looks like the company has a hit. The OnePlus 3 features a 5.5-inch display, fingerprint sensor, 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera and Dash Charge technology. It comes unlocked for just under $400. Inside the OnePlus 3 you'll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a staggering 6GB of memory, rounded out with 64GB of storage.
