Before you drop nearly $300 on a projector you’ll have to really assess your needs (do you have a wall that can support it for instance, or an outdoor setup is possible). But if you can find a use for it, The Cube is a safe buy. The form factor really opens up your possibilities, as I can see it being useful in an office situation for on the spot presentations, and much more.
If your current budget is in the under $300 price range the RIF6 Cube projector is definitely on of the top choices here.

And although the WVGA resolution isn't great for all forms of gaming, it's perfectly functional for most, and the portable size and utility of the projector makes up for it. I had a great time bringing it into my son's room to play Star Wars: Battlefront on the ceiling. You can set it up in a driveway, point the projector at the garage door, and play Smash Bros. against your friends.

Last night, my wife and I watched a couple of episodes of iCarly in bed ( don’t laugh, that show is still awesome). We don’t have a TV in our room, so it was a real treat to be able to do this on a whim. What was even better was that I was able to project the image directly on our ceiling, so we could lay back comfortably and watch.

The RIF6 Cube uses a 50 Watt LED bulb. It is bright however; it works best in a very dark room. If you need to have the lights on when you are presenting a traditional projector will work best.
