VERDICT
Clearly above average. Only a couple of issues keep this from being best in class.

PROS

  • One of the best-looking phones available today. Seriously.
  • Fast wired and wireless charging makes it a breeze to top off your battery.
  • Offers a camera that has no business being restricted to a smartphone.

CONS

  • Expect to pay a premium for this device, regardless of your carrier's pricing model.
  • Some users knock it for lack of a replaceable battery and microSD slot.
  • Beyond aesthetics, there's no real benefit to the curved display.
Samsung's Galaxy S6 edge+ boasts a dual-curved display, atop a housing of metal and glass. Removable battery and microSD card reader need not apply. A fingerprint reader sits beneath the home button, with a brilliant QHD screen just above that. You'd be hard pressed to find a better-looking device on the market right now.

On the flip side, the bigger footprint also means that one-handed usage, while manageable, isn’t as comfortable anymore.

Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge Plus features the most beautiful design on the market. Too bad the curved screen is pretty much useless.

Take the Galaxy S6 Edge and make it bigger. That's basically all Samsung did here.

Then we come to its pricing, which makes it even tougher to recommend it over the Galaxy Note5.

The software doesn't justify the need for a curved display.

For my money, it’s the best Android phone on the market right now: the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. (Terrible name, excellent phone.)

It is one of the best cameras you can get on a smartphone – perhaps only the LG G4 edges it in a head-to-head.

Yes, it's expensive, but the S6 Edge Plus is the sleekest, fastest phablet with the best display and a great camera.

Premium. Eye-catching. Breathtaking, if you’re the kind of person who easily runs out of breath. This is the most attention-grabbing phone you can buy. The metal and glass surfaces positively gleam. The screen is gorgeous, one of the best ever made, even before you consider its futuristic curve.

The camera on the S6 Edge+ isn't anything to get that excited about, as it's largely the same as that on the S6 Edge. Actually, that's pretty harsh, as the camera on that and its S6 brother is brilliant -it's just there's not a lot extra to play with.
